We are Handsome:

mbfwswim-1Launching in 2009, Jeremy and Katinka Somera started the brand “We are Handsome.” This husband and wife duo are re-imaging the standard of swimwear design to construct pieces that capture the spirit and emotion of summer. ‘We are Handsome’ is defined by it’s flawless quality, innovative prints and modern feminine shapes. Each piece offers a “slice of summer” with a taste of luxury.  In the past five years, ‘We are Handsome’ gained a instant worldwide following and continues to be well loved by the press and celebrities such as Beyonce, Diane Kruger, Rihanna and many more.  I just love their ocean photographic prints!mbfwswim-3

Vitamin A by Amahlia Stevens

Started in 2000, Amahlia Stevens’ SoCal upbringing gives her the laid-back modernist aesthetic and West Coast ease that are the spirit to her company Vitamin A. She’s often inspired by travel, modern art and global style. Vitamin A is about that sexy, sunkissed California beauty. She is also the creator of the ‘LBB’- Little Black Bikini. Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, and Halle Berry have all been seen wearing her swimsuits.  I love the high-waisted retro black lace one, definitely a LBB!

Kharbana’s company is all about effortlessly sexy ‘beach to bar’ styles that can easily transition from dawn to dusk.  6 Shore Road can be found in Saks stores, Neiman Marcus, Shopbop, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. This brand has been a favorite amongst young celebrities such as Ashley Tisdale, Kim Kardashian, Kristin Cavllari and Ashley Simpson.  This pink halter is my fav!

Aguaclara

Aguaclara was first started back in 1989 in Lima Peru, by two siblings Jorge and Liliana Villalobos. These two launched their company with great enthusiasm and a vision; to design custom-made swimwear.  They started with a small manufacturing workshop, making personalized garments.  In a short time, Aguaclara became very popular in their market and has grown to be a leading brand.  Aguaclara’s core is its ethnic tendency, rooted in Amazon and Andean influences. Because of their use of different elements the result is a brand with outstanding feel, unique style and an exotically modern sensation.  The trims on all 3 of these are gorgeous!
