ABSOLUTELY! Many people ask this question, and my answer will always be yes. If you’re using Shopify or WordPress to build your ecommerce site, then you can literally have a blog section and put all your articles right on there. It’s that easy, and you don’t have to even be the one writing it. Of course if you love to research and write, then definitely do it. However, many of us don’t have the time to write blog posts or writing is a strength. Well don’t worry – we actually added a blogging service, so we can do everything for you! By blogging on your website on a consistent basis, you are constantly revising your website and making it more relevant – which will make it rank higher on Google. Thus the more you blog, the more easily your website will come up when searched for. Keywords also play a major role in this, so be sure you are writing about topics and including words that people are actually searching for in Google.
More Backlinks, Collaborations, & Press
Backlinks are also very important for SEO, and there’s no better place to put them then on your blog. These are basically external links from other websites that you are putting on your site, which will also help you rank higher. Blogging allows for this, along with creating collaborations. For example, you can talk about other influencers in the industry on your blog, include links to all of the other blogs, and give them shoutouts on social media. The goal from this is that they will promote your blog because they’re featured on it, and then put a link on their website back to your blog in return. Keep in mind though, this works best with smaller brands who are more likely to notice and reciprocate. On the other hand, you can think about the influencers, people, or companies who you’d like to get to notice you. For instance, maybe you’re trying to get your line styled into a magazine shoot. Start mentioning the magazine in your posts, try to find out who they use as a stylist, and mention them directly as well. This is a great way to build your business and get press, all from your blog.

Another question many people ask is what to post on Instagram without having a product to sell. Well one good one is your blog posts! You can easily create images on Canva or another photo editing website with your feature image and title, and then put a snippet of the blog in the caption, and post that on your feed. You can also put a link to your most recent blog and the title in your Instagram description, which will fill up your profile more. Of course, this goes for posting on other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Publishing your blog posts doesn’t only make you noticed, but it gives you something to talk about on social media instead of just telling people to buy your stuff.
What To Blog About
Now that you understand the importance of blogging people, many people ask what to blog about. This is completely up to you, your interests, and your brand. What To Name Your Blog
What you’re going to blog about and the name of your blog kind of go hand-in-hand. You can choose to name your blog according to what it will specifically be about and it can be as simple as the name of your clothing line. However, it doesn’t have to be this consistent. It honestly all depends on what the goal of the blog is. If the goal of the blog is simply to drive traffic to your online store, then maybe you do want to call it the same name. On the other hand if your goal is to have a thriving blog on its own, then my advice is to make the blog name different from your clothing line. Coming up with a completely new name can be hard, but there’s a few tricks you can try. You can get some inspiration and brainstorm ideas from this website. It basically generates a name for you based off of tongue twisters, favorite colors, food, location, clothing piece, etc. Start writing down these ideas and I’m sure something will come out of it!
